From the Department of Awesome Animals comes the mighty Red and White Giant Flying Squirrel! This fantastic specimen was captured mid-glide by Burrard-Lucas Wildlife Photography in the Qinling Mountains of China.
This is the largest species of Giant Squirrel and, as if they weren’t already awesome enough, they also have blue eyes, which must catch the light and gleam as they fly past you and wink. Such handsome and charismatic devils. We’re so charmed, we nearly forgot that this one isn’t wearing any underpants.
